Social Media / Marketing Experience

I have experience creating thoughtful, visually engaging social media and marketing content for arts and cultural projects. My experience spans content creation, design, copywriting, with a focus on building accessible and engaging digital presences for exhibitions, events, and organizations. Here are some of my projects...

"We Are Still Here - Technically"
@wearestillhere.exhibition

Working closely with a co-curator, I developed and executed the exhibition’s social media presence to translate our curatorial framework into a cohesive and engaging digital platform. This included creating and conducting artist interviews, which I developed into short-form video content to foreground artist voices and practices. I assisted development in the overall visual and communicative direction, built and maintained a content schedule, and ensured the clear and timely dissemination of key exhibition information. Additionally, I worked with Xpace Cultural Centre's communications director. Through this work, I approached social media as an extension of the exhibition space — one that fosters accessibility, dialogue, and deeper audience engagement.

Visit Kingston

I created and produced short-form video content for Visit Kingston’s social media platforms, highlighting local events, businesses, and cultural experiences. From concept development to filming and editing, I crafted engaging and visually dynamic content tailored for TikTok and Instagram. My work focused on capturing the character of Kingston while making it accessible and appealing to a broad audience, contributing to the organization’s digital storytelling and community engagement initiatives.

Great Lakes Sourdough

I managed and curated social media content for Great Lakes Sourdough, developing a cohesive digital presence that reflected the brand’s slow-living, farm-to-table ethos and homey, approachable vibe. My work included creating graphics, writing captions, and producing engaging posts, stories, and reels that highlighted the warmth and authenticity of the brand. I also contributed written content for the website and blog, while using analytics to track performance and inform content strategy. Through this role, I combined visual storytelling with strategic communication to strengthen brand visibility and connect with the local community.

Queen's Giller Prize Event
@queensgillerprizeevent

As Marketing Communications Co-Chair for the Queen’s Giller Prize, I led the development and execution of social media campaigns to promote the event, ensuring consistent branding and audience engagement across platforms. I created graphics, edited video interviews with featured authors, and coordinated a communications team to deliver cohesive and timely content. This role strengthened my ability to translate complex literary and cultural programming into accessible, engaging digital media while managing multiple deadlines and maintaining high attention to detail.
